I don't want Nolan to be in the team full stop but never this.
If only we had 2 center backs today with Kouyate in place of Nolan we would of won this hands down.

Nolan did little wrong today. Some very good passes, tracking back, tackling, full of running. Think sitting deeper suits him now.
Some people will never be happy though.

That said, for me neither Kev nor Morgs should start. Should be Downing behind the front two with Nobes, Song and Kouyate in midfield.

Why is Morgan more of an impact sub than Nolan, Justin? Morgs has got more assists & goals than Nolan in his bit-part appearances than Kev.

Just in defence of Mr Nolan today if I may?
It was a straight choice between him and Morgan in the final midfield position?
Morgan is more of a high impact sub therefore Sam made the call to play Nolan from the start which is ok with me providing he played Downing at the tip of the diamond behind Sakho and Valencia, which he did.
The telling decision will be when another one of the centre backs is fit and Kouyate is to be moved back into the midfield, of which I would bench Nolan and bring him on later in the game.
Unlucky West Ham today, with these players and formation we have beaten Man City, Liverpool and nearly Man Utd at home smashing them all off the park in the process!
